Over the years institutes countless people have asked the million dollar question. What makes an entrepreneur? What traits or characteristics inherent in a successful entrepreneur is one born with these characteristics? There is great news! Successful entrepreneurs are born every day!
Some people believe an entrepreneur is born, while others believe that an entrepreneur can be taught. Some believe that an entrepreneur is like an artist – whether you have or do not. Some see entrepreneurs as the leaders who are focused, disciplined, competitive, charismatic, while others see them as huge risk takers. All these analogies are entitled to some degree.
It is true that all successful entrepreneurs share certain qualities and skills to succeed. These inherent qualities can be taught, but often seem to be a driving force inherent in individuals who sends by way of being in business or formal training for a career in business.
Entrepreneurs see the world differently. They have the ability to see the world as a system. They have the ability to see something in its entirety and as an integrated unit, which seem to possess the ability to see opportunities in the global landscape. They are what you call a system thinker.
There are other features they have. Employers have an irresistible urge to reach and tend to be very competitive against them. They are continually trying to out think themselves and others and are constantly looking for the bank. This is a process that occurs as naturally as breathing and is a driving force behind most of the entrepreneurs.
They have the determination and dedication to follow through on commitments and always confident and in control. You will notice that they also have a positive atmosphere. They are of the mindset of “I Can”, and “will.” They’re not afraid to fail because failure is not in his vocabulary, nor is it an option.
Objective, but have the ability to weigh the risks realistically within the large picture. They have an uncanny ability to anticipate events that gives them the advantage in many situations of competition. Entrepreneurs seem to feel from his heart, call it instinct. They are a group of resources that have excellent problem solving skills and are able to work diligently through the barriers as they occur.
Entrepreneurs are excellent communicators and recognize the importance of clear and concise communication is success. They also have a sound working knowledge of the business they are involved in.

Is it that we are born with inherent qualities that lead us to be entrepreneurs or become an entrepreneur is when we decided to develop the skills and qualities to succeed? That is a question we leave to The Great Debaters to solve.
