In the theory of the marketing mix, there are four main points of marketing, namely product, price, place, and promotion (4Ps). You must have the ability to mix these four things to be successful. If you’ve set the product to be sold then you should be able to determine three other cases, i.e., price, location, and promotions. Quality product without the promotion and the right price will complicate the development of your business.
Place means the location of offices and distribution makes consumers easy to buy, the more difficult locations accessible to the consumer so that much needed promotion.
In the retail business (retail), location plays a very important because the business premises will be visited by consumers. Unlike the businesses whose sales made by consumers go directly to the office location was not affecting the business.
Someone would ask, why there are foods stalls are located far away from the crowds, but still selling. Would not that mean the location is not important? If there are stalls that are difficult to reach, but in demand, there must be other advantages, one of them through word of mouth promotion is very effective.
Know Your Prospective Buyers
Successful entrepreneurs know that prospective customers or in the language of marketing is the target market. Not only common targets, but specified, for example, youth aged 20-25 years, undergraduate education, earning more than Rp. 2 million per month, and others.
In identifying potential customers then you will be much easier to do promotion techniques so that they are interested in buying products for sale.
Recognizing the buyer is the first step of product marketing success. You need to know their numbers and also the changes that occur throughout the year.
