If you want to really have a job you love, you have to get moving. Remember, time passed, and the older age of a person, the less his enthusiasm and optimism. So usually a younger person would be more desirable to take a position because the spirits are still high. Find out your dreams and interests, identify your strengths and make your future boss was impressed.
1. Make a list of things you liked and did not. What makes you not stand with your career now? Desk job is not clear or too much so you do not have time for family? Tired because of too many deadlines? Salaries are not suitable? Work environment that is not fun? As for the preferred list, write down what you liked your job, leisure activities, or while in the house. Whatever makes you feel happy and excited?
2. If you already know what your interest, take time to find out the career / job match whatever your interests are.
3. Experience and your current skills (communication skills, leadership, planning & organizing), can be “capital” for a career in the new field.
4. If you are interested in a profession that it requires you to take certain courses or education, make sure that these institutions have accreditation is good. Get also information on whether these institutions to help its graduates to find work
5. Networking is very important because it helps you get the information and guidance on jobs or opportunities in the field / industry. In fact, maybe you can meet new people so that your network becomes more extensive. Many parties could be part of your networking. Colleagues / your clients, friends, family, even your college alumni who work in the field you are interested.
6. Try to get work experience in the new field by working part time, or at the end of the week besides experience, you will more find out more about the job. Thus you can consider whether the decision was sure to move the profession to another field
7. Because career and its development is an important part of your life, try to consult with a mentor.
8. Switching profession does not necessarily make you move the workplace. Good management is usually understood that the productivity of employees affected by psychological conditions. The more comfortable a person with a job and work environment, can make the higher the productivity. You should find out if the company where you work now flexible enough to switch jobs. If so, you can talk about it with management. 9. While taking a course or a certain education, you should begin to prepare themselves for “strategies to sell themselves”, begins with finding employment and salary standards for the field, making a cover letter and resume specific and convincing, and prepare for interviews.
